--- lilly moat
A large expanse of pure green grass spreads forth at the center of their pack lands, like a beautiful thread of sanity strung within the madness at hand. Surrounding the pocket of land dances a moat of green mossy swamp waters, their skin adorned with thousands of lilies, in shades of white, pink, and a soft green color which one gets from the life water it drinks. A small "draw bridge" of sorts is kept at the first and only entrance of the island -- although the bridge is metaphorical, as this is simply a thin patch of land which connects the innermost land to the outside. The existence of the bridge depends on the rains, for if the wet season brings more precipitation than can be held in the mote, the bridge is flooded. Tread carefully, for the rocks tend to dislodge themselves when the soil is wet, and the grasses are long enough that when flattened they can be slipped upon. And you know how they say the moon is kind to the land of Ash, turning almost every place into an eerie beauty? This is not so for the lilly moat. At night, the flowers seem to sag in defeat, the moat-like waters surrounding the pocket of land appearing even more nasty and flawed. The structure of earth that stretches from one part to the other is lined with rocks the moonlight never touches, making it painful to discover where they are. If you wish to sleep safely in these pack lands, here would be a good start, as many don't tread during nightfall.
