How serene it seems, even in the daylight -- though the harsh glare of sunlight does nothing for its lovely complexion. By day it seems horribly plain, derived of smooth earth decorated with stones of quartz and moss reminiscent of a lamb's ear that grows in a creamy white color. All around the clearing, massive pines stand tall and proud, menacing outsiders and blocking the glade from view. Yet at night, the scenery changes entirely. At the first touch of a moon's ray, small, violet-tipped flowers unfurl from where they'd blended in with the pale moss, and the quartz boulders flare into life, shining brilliantly as though they contained white fire. It's said that the guardian wolves meet here three times a year to bask in the sheer power of moon and her constellations.
