the downward spiral Swathed in shadows and thick cloud, the mountain looms overhead like a curse. It's cracked and dried looking, chipped. It has a gaunt, skinny face of towering shards reaching into the sky and digging into the clouds with its sharp crests. There is a spiral circling around the jagged mass to its major peak, a long, slim tower on its own slicing into the air dangerously. The thunder growls in the atmosphere, a warning. It is a dark, gray place. There is no light and no colour. No activity and no life. It is a barren, desolate place that most others avoid. There is no foliage or small fauna, seeing as nothing can live in this brutal, rocky environment. It is almost in a constant haze of rain and fog, much too warm to be pleasant. It is a suffocating place, never enough air and too much stench. Vultures sometimes circle this place, knowing nothing ever survives here long. |

fields of emarosa These great expanses of gold drape lazily over Aleriaon for miles, sweeping lovingly over gentle hillocks and settling around jade-green pools of fresh water. Flowers bloom here, stark black in contrast with the deceptively calm yellow of the fields; their petals are shiny and soft to the touch, but along their stems are talon-like thorns to protect them from predators. It's the tradition between two lovers that the lord should present his lady with one of these onyx blooms, braving lips torn by the thorns to proclaim his love. Aside from the dark flowers and slightly bizarre tales of romance, however, the fields are a good place to relax, romp, or hunt, away from the sternest traits of pack life. All sorts of large game move through the tall, swaying grass at some point or another during the day, and numerous species of fish flash and glint through the pure pools of water, just waiting to be snapped up by a patient wolf. Birds bed down in the trees lining the fields near the southern end, and a pheasant or two can always be flushed out from their nests within the waterless sea of gold. The fields of Emarosa are considered to be a relatively safe place for young wolves, and elders bring pups here to experience their first tastes of the hunt. |

fallen coral magistrates The lands twist together to form the magically enabled Coral Magistrates. The Magistrates are located near the lands of the Vague Wolves, water is somehow never an issue around the magistrates. The skies are never usually clear, on it's best days it might have magnitudes of glimmering fireflies within the rasping sounds. The colors of the coral are somehow metallic in structure and grasp all over the ground- almost forming a maze like creation from it's depths. From one place to another there are many different image within the coral- sculpted within the abrasive surfaces. The way it glimmers under the stars is utterly breath taking, it's truly a sight to behold; one of the few rare occasions when a Vague wolf submerges and dances within the light of the others. Within Aleriaon there a very few of these gracious masterpieces. |

the labyrinth as you face the catacombs of dust and rock, you wonder what brought you here, the sounds echo off the walls with an eerie crack like sound. a chill wracks your very core, and something - a voice, probably your conscience - is warning you not to enter, the cold sensation spreads through out your entire bodice filling you with that numbing tingle. something lurks within those walls- that voice tells you. but you enter anyway. there have been stories - that you dismissed, just elders scaring pups to get a few chuckles - of wolves entering the labyrinth and never leaving again, trapped forever in the darkness. but you're not that stupid, are you? you think you're a clever son-of-a-bitch. but as you stare at what seem to be endless caverns and tunnels, and as the shadows creep up on you, you begin to believe otherwise. and yet you knew you shouldn't come down here. Walls like red lime stone, almost as if the executions of another life were all tossed across the walls, where it actually leads no one knows- but one things certain; the dark is eerie. |

andover's casket The sandy landscape is parched and frozen, the only life in the form of silvery yellow trees. The trees are spindly and sharp, so brittle they do not move in the wind. Their branches are like that of splintering bones, jutting out like claws. They are leafless, made of only ivory branch. Their is a legend that states that the trees are the souls of dead sinners, forced to remain in an eternal state of dry lifelessness. This place smells of nothing except dust and thirst. The winds here rage in storms, blowing the loose sediment into wicked dry hurricanes. And it is always so cold. A frozen desert. Although, there seems to be perpetual sunshine here with only the blinding light and no warmth. There are no clouds, only blue expanses of sky. The hills of bitter white sand roll into the distance, without ending. This place is not for the living, and is often used for exiling those who have committed deeds worthy of a slow, painful death. There is not much except bones. The bones of the trees, the bones of the dead, and the grinds of bone-white sand beneath your feet. |

--- aolias drop Aolias drop is a long way down, on the very side of their island land way up in the clouds. The Ciel wolves regard this place as a holy land- for the whispers of their god can be heard almost often, but only to those crazy enough to tempt the loud area. For the Aolias drop isn't only just a drop, it's a water fall that falls off the edge of their land. But the drop off the side of the mountain isn't just a flat expanse. For there is plenty of mountain where it came from. Picture their island like this- it's a disk which rises on one side like a hill, the very top of the hill is where the clouds are always dark, and it's always raining, which explains the obvious amount of water that falls of the land's edge. There are many places atop the Aolias drop to stand, there are numerous caves behind the fall of water- if your sick enough to test the ledge. Aolias is the only place on The Ciel wolves land which gets active rainfall- other wise their so high in the air that water is most likely snow. |

--- cathedral of la sovier a rock based mausoleum which holds clouds- enchanted with ancient Ciel magic to contain rooms and narrow pathways, in actuality its almost like an earth real tomb, maybe even a maze of clouds, but there are many places within the "cathedral" which mimic places to entertain ones self. But surrounded by all of glass like clouds is a single chasm where the Ciel wolves take the time to have their meetings, where everything goes down. The room looks as if it's enchanted, with a decaying sense of production- the walls are almost translucent, showing the grounds below it, green grasses sometimes covered with tips of frost. The chasm mimics the wolves hearts, for it's cold, and sometimes moist. The roof of the chasm has what appear to seem like spikes falling from their only enclosure. If you look closely at the walls you might find random holes- because all paths and halls within the enclosure all lead to that one room, with the sickly twisted beauty of a surreal madness. |

--- the well of souls This is by far the most dangerous -- and the most breathtakingly beautiful -- stop on your journey through Ciel territory. This is the very center of their lands, and therefore the very core of the world of Ash. It seems simple enough from a distance; a small mountain, dusky brown in coloration. However, it's not at all overrated. This mountain was formed by fire. From its unfathomably deep belly, flames have been known to flare forth, calling lightning from the clouds and roars from the earth. It hasn't erupted since ancient times, but there is always a possibility for its re-awakening. But where does the beauty come in, you might wonder? To discover this, one must travel to the very lip of the crater and peer within, to see a still lake with a surface like glass. Golden vines of ivy trail along the water's edge, taking nutrients from the volcanic soil and collected rainwater, and if you look close enough, a pale, unexplainable glow of white filters from the bottom toward the surface. It's far too deep for one to swim to the bottom and discover what causes such a glow, not to mention too murky and disorienting to really see what lies beneath. Even despite the dangers, however, it is perhaps one of the most sacred places known to the wolves. |

--- lilly moat A large expanse of pure green grass spreads forth at the center of their pack lands, like a beautiful thread of sanity strung within the madness at hand. Surrounding the pocket of land dances a moat of green mossy swamp waters, their skin adorned with thousands of lilies, in shades of white, pink, and a soft green color which one gets from the life water it drinks. A small "draw bridge" of sorts is kept at the first and only entrance of the island -- although the bridge is metaphorical, as this is simply a thin patch of land which connects the innermost land to the outside. The existence of the bridge depends on the rains, for if the wet season brings more precipitation than can be held in the mote, the bridge is flooded. Tread carefully, for the rocks tend to dislodge themselves when the soil is wet, and the grasses are long enough that when flattened they can be slipped upon. And you know how they say the moon is kind to the land of Ash, turning almost every place into an eerie beauty? This is not so for the lilly moat. At night, the flowers seem to sag in defeat, the moat-like waters surrounding the pocket of land appearing even more nasty and flawed. The structure of earth that stretches from one part to the other is lined with rocks the moonlight never touches, making it painful to discover where they are. If you wish to sleep safely in these pack lands, here would be a good start, as many don't tread during nightfall. |

--- de lune One lone, tall hill travels up the left side of their seemingly infinite expanse of land, covered in a multitude of green grasses with more flowers than one could ever imagine. Flowers of every assortment dance within the sea of verdant waves -- daises, Sarithums, shrubs of Avguaway, and so many more, thousands of colors in a variety that makes their hill look like a painting from Celeste, or Bane -- give or take intentions. But what makes De Lune so special is that dead center of the hue-covered hill is a long stream. It babbles sweet nonsense just like a brook, with limbs of trees that arch across the stream as bridges for the balanced. At night, the moon has a way of finding lodging directly above the water, illuminating it a bright pale blue, and lending vibrancy to the colorful items that live under the water's touch. The lunar light gleams off the flowers as though their paint were still wet, silver light washing through the entire setting as though it were palpably water itself. Though that's a vibrancy saved for the heart of spring, summer, and fall. But during the winter snow covers the hill, the flowers peeking through -- still living though by some miraculous gift. Look to the center and find the river frozen to a clear crystal solid, the ice thus illuminated like a crystal -- hold it to the light and watch it sparkle. |

--- le champ de lumière the widest expanse of land within their pack lands just so happen to be literally translated as "the field of light" - for during the day time, in the light is the what illuminates everything. everything has some kind of shimmer to it within the field's light, and it is a healing glow- on the outskirts of the field are numerous caves which dwell and hold most of the pack hideouts. But during the day within the pack land everything is alive with a symphonic sound chirping and singing together as one. Of course there are many flowers and trees and lots of greens through out the area- nor is it ever to cold nor to warm, it's always just right. Although there is everything within this field- there is also a largely hollow tree, dead center of the field, where most pack meetings occur. It is flowing with ancient magics- the energy of the entire land powered through this one mother system, the roots within this tree protrude from the ground and allow mobile access as a communication device throughout all of their lands. |

--- the outer wall the Vague Wolves land is deep underwater, surrounded by something they say is the gods flesh, for it glitters with an odd innocence of creation- with and igloo like shape and entrance. It's said that magic is what creates the shape and holds the water back- because the outer wall isn't really a wall- is not even a film. All it is, is some kind of force keeping the water in that one spot, which a wolf can touch and go into the depths of the water. The magic about all of the areas around the outer wall is that it never looks the same, one say there could be a large coral reef intruding from the wall to leak in the magic film. It's an area to explore, to interact with the fish within the waters they live in, to talk- to dance, to follow their hearts only wish. The grounds they walk up on is about 2 inches of water atop sand, but the Vague wolves are created to last within the sand and water within their home. Wolves within this land claim that this part of their home is haunted by the spirits of their deceased kin, but is that even a true statement? One mat never know.... |

--- la vague pool The Vague pool is a creation dead center of the Vague wolves land- the outer edge of the pool is build largely with the same magic that encases the perimeter of the lands home. the walls rise for about half of the entire height of their home, and water rolls down the side of it, pushing water into the ground of the entire enclosure. stairs rise up the center of the pool on both opposing sides, made of a black marble like substance, to the top of the large pool where you can find many of the Vague wolves swimming with the wild life of the oceans. Anything you can find within an ocean- you can find in here, all types of non-dangerous fish, with rainbow light tricks, bouncing off the edge of the pool. But the most magnificent thing out of the whole pool- is at the center of the pool rises a pressure, which shoots water out of the top of the pool to spray across the entire enclosure, supplying the inhabitants of their land with a fresh spray of water every few seconds. But the water shoot turns colors depending upon the time of day and how high the sun is within the skies, the clear water completely translucent. |

--- lunar de librum along the outer wall there is a secret passageway within the coral rocks that reside within the side- among the rest of the lore, and the proof this is the only place out of them all that has been along the outer wall for as long as they have been within their home. Upon the entrance to the large villa like compartment it's a small area to squeeze into but if your small enough you can fit two wolves into the entrance at once. It's told that only the Vague wolves themselves know where the entrance within the coral is. water is half filled to the middle within the entrance catacombs, the water a crystal colored hue to the water, but miraculously the moon above the ocean drifts into view within the liquid abyss, henceforth the name. But, as you wade within the depths of the cave like compartment the water gradually rises to fill the entire cavern. And as you continue traveling inward, the hall gradually gets larger until you reach the heart of the cave, filled with water- which appears to have gleaming silver stars floating at the top of it's depths, and the crystal clear view of the moon, for the magic which creates it's enchantment allows it to be always night time. |

--- cicatrix falls Named for the rushing sound of the waterfall, it is the main point of interested in these natural woodlands. It travels from the edge of the mountainous areas of the ground wolves. From the ground, it’s not possible to see the top of the falls clearly, and they stretch across the edges of the cliff for many feet. At the bottom, small clouds of water are always jumping. It has caused lots of thick growth around the bottom. Rocky edges around the falls are actually a path to behind the falls. It is largely been hollowed out. Some say by the ground wolves themselves as a past gift to their neighboring pack. Inside though is the common sleeping place of the wolves, far back into the mountain side. Small trails out of the back end of their small cave lead back out into the open woodlands of their home, so they are not trapped inside should anything happen. |

--- symphony moor A large expanse or marsh lands through the trees on the sides of the falls. Through the thicket of trees you will find your way to the end, and you've arrived. The moor is a large expanse of land, only some of it is within their area of caring -- their claimed lands, which includes tall grass blades with enthralling rolling hills tucked in with an odd moss-like substance topping its slick surface. Despite the humidity and constant rolling fog, it never rains here - however, in the rainy season, even though no precipitation graces the bayou, the fog is much harder to see through -- even with good eyes. At the very end of their moorland lies their waterfall, the one where they watch and listen -- it's unknown to most, for any but the pack. Used for something they keep secret; and what they secret is, maybe even the alpha doesn't know. Though, a forewarning, most wolves outside of their pack don't usually enjoy the fog which claims residence among the moor. |

--- witches' kindle Famously named for the heaps of dead wood, grasses, dry branches, leaves, moss, and quite possibly the bones of those who trespass against pack underfoot, even the rain can't cool or moisturize the air; constantly hot and dry with the heat rising off the kindle. Although it's dry as all sin, fires are nearly impossible to start among the kindle, for the bones tie for the safety of those among their ranks. Dead trees hang overhead, the remnants of weeping willows, tied with dead leaves that will never fall. Even within midwinter, the skies still covered by those dead willows still weeping for the rains they so often get. Fireflies are quite common in this area, glinting like stars in the skies, only flying around and around. Redemption, this is used as hallowed ground, the awkward pack ranks meet here for random misdemeanor conversations- with sickly sketchy personalities, the land runs like their personalities. Water dances smoothly under the dead branches, just beneath the pads of those pacing the dead life. With the clear, clean liquid running underfoot it always seems to give the land a soft swooshing sound which remains something quite relaxing for the damned souls that bleed atop it's force. Just listen, child, for they dare you. |

- Greskal Basin A steep basin within the snowcapped mountainous terrain of the ground dwelling wolves acts as their main den site. Sheltered from the elements, steep and wide burrows can be found throughout the mountain walls. Dug out by small mated pairs, or closely bonded wolves. The wise workers have been known to decorate their burrows with various precious stones and bones, often times displaying some sort of family symbol. Dens are usually guarded by large and heavy stones to protect them from predators. Not too far out into the center of the basin, a fresh water source is available to the pack, and often draws in unknown herds of prey. It’s also a common fishing spot, and a meeting place. Gaining access to the basin is difficult, and involves crossing the mountains. To those unfamiliar, this could take many weeks. However, the pack that dwells here can easily find their way out. |

--- crimson catacombs Deep within the ground is nestled a catacomb which none other than the sacred Pierre wolves know about. The catacombs within the ground, painted a glowing crimson hue, adorned with numerous rubies, and other stones and minerals of a red assortment. The ground is a soft grain which you cant find anywhere else, with silver grains and small rubies and other jewels of color. Their secret is that the bones of their enemies are ground up and tossed along the ground with a gentle ease for torment of their crimes. It is said among most other packs today that ghosts haunt these catacombs- but the catacombs are a rumor to the outside world in itself. With glowing rubies and Garnet stones which glow with a magnificent source of power, which enfold white and red light upon the winding paths of the catacombs that surround and encase their lands. |

--- xrangne sink within the home, and hidden amid the winding catacombs that pull their lands together there is a secret place called the xrangne sink. There are no rumors of this place within any of the other lands- none know about it's inheritance. With unanimously white washed walls and hovering jewels and bones from the ceiling- the image of stars and a moon at glimmering in a translucent way which makes the sky look like a crazy mans folly. With a sweet breath of the deranged, there are many assortments within the "sink". But all together it's a large castle like room deep underground, where the walls are made of dirt and stone, whitewashed to look almost like a transparent film into the catacombs beside it's presence. The ground is the same combination from within the catacombs- ground up bones jewels and dirt, but the light illuminates itself from the thriving of their kind. |

--- lunar glade How serene it seems, even in the daylight -- though the harsh glare of sunlight does nothing for its lovely complexion. By day it seems horribly plain, derived of smooth earth decorated with stones of quartz and moss reminiscent of a lamb's ear that grows in a creamy white color. All around the clearing, massive pines stand tall and proud, menacing outsiders and blocking the glade from view. Yet at night, the scenery changes entirely. At the first touch of a moon's ray, small, violet-tipped flowers unfurl from where they'd blended in with the pale moss, and the quartz boulders flare into life, shining brilliantly as though they contained white fire. It's said that the guardian wolves meet here three times a year to bask in the sheer power of moon and her constellations. |

--- nightrain valley within the dead center of the Mort's lands there is a singular valley surrounded by a veil of magic, enchanted with something spectacular. The valley doesn't appear during the daylight, only at night. the ground is scattered with white flowers of odd assortments and the skies always look like it's raining- but when the moon is just right, directly in the middle of the land you can watch the stars fall from the skies. The grasses are probably the softest grasses you have ever felt, as well as- this valley was said to be a gift from the lover of their original leader- who was lovers with one of the deceased. Their love could never be, and he was forever weakened by the gap within his heart- they're pack was weakened by their lack of a female alpha, the balance was wronged- but it is said to this very day that the love they had created this valley- their only meeting point was at high moon. |

--- cauldron hollow Here it is said that daylight never shows, that the darkness of the night is all that is seen. Mortals have never been known to walk into the heart of this packs terrain and make it out the same. Long ago burned and scorched in fire, the terrain has stayed black and dead for countless of years. The trees are twisted into odd and deformed shapes, some spiraling up into the sky, and others bowed over touching the ground. Towards the center of the woodlands, a large lake has formed, standing and stagnant. It’s waters however, appear glowing and blue, swimming through it are the hauntings of skeletal fish, and various other aquatic souls. Known to wonder around this place too are the glowing creatures of the forest, as deer, and bear. For a mortal to step foot here, would instantly began to tear them down to the bone, quite literally. The ghosts too are transformed here. Their bodies feast on the energy of the decayed, and often times they will glow in a variety of colors. |
